Elizabeth Anne Rosas June 7th, 1952 - Nov. 5th, 2010 Elizabeth, age 56 was surrounded by family members when she died of complications from pneumonia. Elizabeth was born in San Francisco and raised in South San Francisco. She was among the first women in the Operating Engineers, Local 3, and worked for the family business, Rosas Construction Company before college. She graduated from San Francisco State with a BA in Labor Studies. She continued to work in the construction industry as a controller for Broadway Sheet Metal until her move to the Sacramento area. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Sheila Deurloo, her parents Florentino and Mildred Rosas, and siblings Tom (Joan), Rebecca Althoff, Dan (Nancy) Rosas, and Angel (Holly) Bernal. She was an adoring auntie to nephews Christopher (Deana) Rosas, Jim (Julie) Rosas, Frank (Maria) Rosas, Alex Rosas, Dominic Althoff, Douglas Bernal, and nieces Jessica Althoff, Christina Rosas, Jennifer (Dave) Palmiotto and Rebecca Bernal. She never got the chance to meet her newest family addition, grand-niece Gracie Palmiotto. Elizabeth could light up a room with her smile and her laughter. She was an outgoing, kind and loving person who loved her family, friends and two dogs. She enjoyed rock and roll music, and VW bugs. Everyone knew to get out of her way when she was driving her little green bug. She lived life with enthusiasm and was a great story teller about her adventures growing up. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral mass in her honor on Monday, November 15th at 10:30 at Holy Angels Church in Daly City. A celebration in her honor will be at The Pacific Rod and Gun Club, 520 John Muir Drive, San Francisco. Bring a photo or story. Ladies don your pearls in her honor.
