Sending my condolences to the family, from a biology student who enjoyed Dr. Oberlander's horticulture class at SF State in the mid-1970s. He led a field trip in Golden Gate Park and I particularly enjoyed Dr. Oberlander's story about delightedly discovering Liverworts spontaneously growing in his campus greenhouse. Gardening continues to be my great pleasure. Sincerely.
