Dear Sheila & family,
I met your dad only a few times, but he always had the gift of making me laugh. In this troubled world, that is truly a gift. May he rest in peace and may the peace of the Lord blanket all your family.

Sincere condolences to the entire Maguire family. As a friend of his daughter, Maura, I enjoyed hearing stories of the Maguire family's migration to the U.S., and the many and varied ways that the Maguire offspring have carried on their parents devotion to faith, family and country (both the Irish Free State and the USA). God bless you all!

Memories of Frank are of a warm, welcoming, funny and interesting man, who amazed me with his energy and love of life. Although he graced the world for 93 years it still feels like he left too soon and I know that Mary and his family will never fill the void he leaves but I hope that the love and good memories he made will sustain you over the coming moths and years. RIP Frank. Deirdre, Paddy & Aoibhe, Derry.

Frank McGuire was a joy to know. He was a great friend to my family and we enjoyed our visits to the McGuires where there was always a story and music. My parents thought very highly of Frank. It was a privilege to be able to share the family gatherings and experience the McGuire hospitality. Frank was a man of peace and he is now in the place of peace and total harmony and I can hear him whistling his way by St. Peter.

With loving thoughts, my deepest sympathy and the promise of my prayers and those of my community, the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Grateful to have known Frank,

Deepest sympathy from the Kemple family here in Galway.

I have only the nicest of memories of Gloucester Place in Cheltenham and of the often noisily exuberant atmosphere there.

I still have some of the cigarette cards of warships and aircraft that Frank gave me nearly 50 years ago.

I also remember the many occasions when Frank and Mary came to the house in Albert Rd.

If memory serves me right they were both active in persuading the Carmelites to open a Secondary level school for boys in Cheltenham and Frank, I think, was the first chairman of Whitefriars PTA.

Both Frank and Mary were also involved in setting up the Irish Association in Cheltenham.

I always got the impression that Mary would sail head-on into even the most dire conditions whereas Frank was the quiet steady hand at the helm.

Frank, a gentle man and a gentleman.

Frank was truly a wonderful person. As a young teenager I spent lots of time at the Maguire home in Almaden with Niki. Frank loved telling jokes while sharing a cup of tea. Niki would always get him started by saying something like "dad, tell her joke number 125" and then she would leave the room laughing, knowing that it could go on for hours. I enjoyed every minute and will always cherish the wonderful memories.

So sorry to hear the loss of your dad. Now just think of all the great memories you have of him. He's Irish, he would want that, then on to a good Irish gathering. Jack and Geri Murray

The quiet gentleman, and inspiration to us all. He was my American Dad and chess adversary. I loved his little tongue twisters - one of my favorites, "The cat crept into the crypt, crapped and crept out again". He was too funny and kept us entertained over many years.
