Obituary Condolences

Jean Consuelo Lawson Passed away on November 18, 2011 at age 80. Until the day she left this earth, Jeanie had a zest for life that was unmatched. Her generous spirit touched so many people over the years through her unwavering commitment to Catholic Charities in San Francisco. Her creativity and boundless energy were bestowed upon Little Children's Aide, St. Stephens Parish School, Mount St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth, St. Ignatius College Prep, Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary Board, Dominican College, Republican Women Committee of Santa Cruz and most recently as the Honorary Chairwoman of the 4th Annual Gala for Immaculate Conception Academy in the Mission District. Jeanie was an entertainer extraordinaire. Whether hosting a party with a dancing gorilla, a mime or a fortuneteller, Jeanie's parties always had a "wow factor." Her adventurous spirit took her from the African bush with her beloved late husband, Al, to a cooking tour in China. No matter where in the world she travelled, her heaven on earth was soaking in the sun, harvesting her olives and planning abundant feasts for her family and friends at her country home in Soquel. The joys of her life were her "grands:" Dan, Paul, Michael, Bobby, Patrick, Natalie, Katie and Jake. She is survived by her loving children George (Mary), Ann (Greg), and Robert. A celebration of her truly wonderful life will be on Saturday November 26 at 10am at St. Stephen's Church in San Francisco. Donations in her honor may be made to the St. Mary's Regional Heart Institute with thanks to Dr. Remo Morelli or Immaculate Conception Academy Jean C. Lawson Scholarship Fund.
