Luanne Blaich Obituary

Luanne Blaich Passed away at sunset on February 14, 2012 after a 3.5 year battle with Leukemia and the following, unsuccessful bone marrow transplant. She was born in Hollywood California July 29, 1960 and raised in Woodland Hills. Luanne lived in Northern California from the mid 90's on where she became active in the Reclaiming Community, there she met the love of her life, Urania. Luanne and Urania were married in 2005 in San Rafael, California where they resided with their daughter, Rhiannon Elizabeth. Luanne was deeply loved by all that knew her. She drew a wide assortment of friends and her kindness taught us all to live better, from our hearts. She would wish to be remembered as a Feminist-Witch dedicated to Aphrodite and Love in all its beauty and form. Luanne is survived by her loving wife, Tami Urania Griffith, her step-daughter, Rhiannon Elizabeth Griffith-Bowman; her mother, Loubelle Wissler of Missoula, Montana; her father, Fred M. Blaich, Jr. of Newbury Park, California; her brother, Ken Blaich, sister-in-law, Jenny Blaich, and two nephews, Reid and Ryan Blaich, also of Newbury Park, California. There will be a celebration of Luanne's life on February 26, 2012 at the Mill Valley Golf Clubhouse, in Mill Valley California from 7-11PM. for more information please check the fb page: Luanne Blaich: born July 29, 1960. I babysat Luanne when she was 5 years old and Kenny was 2. For her 6th birthday I sewed her a pretty sundress as she was so amazingly cute and lovely at 6. I was 11 at the time. There was such a wonderful bond with her during those two years. When I was at UCLA as a student, I drove over to see what the house looked like. I found her living there with Kenny. She had turned into such a wonderful woman and we hugged and talked for an hour. I just found out that she passed, just today....from an Airbnb guest who was a friend of hers. I am so honored that I am able to send her blessings and love through this portal. Thanks for having this page. I smile just thinking of the times we spent playing in her playhouse in the backyard. Her mom, LouBelle was also an amazing woman. Kenny was a crackup as a two year old and I send him love!

I remember her smile, kindness, love of music and dance, and most of all her energy. She was my dancing instructor when I was a teenager. She was very patient and was a wonderful dancer. Luanne was my first roomie at CA camp, along with Craig. Her gentle spirit was a delight as we 3 explored camp culture together, and I will always remember her graceful movement thru the Redwoods, her strong and quiet ways and the roots I witnessed in here there.
