Rose Cliver Obituary

Rose Cliver (Wyrsch) Passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2012 in Santa Rosa at the age of 109. She was born October 9th 1902 in San Francisco. She was surrounded by her loving family and her dedicated caregivers. She is preceded in passing by Charles her husband of 62 years. She is survived by her son Donald Cliver and was preceded in death by her daughter Roberta Locati. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Born in San Francisco to Joseph and Lena Wyrsch. She comes from a family of 12 brothers and sisters. She was the last remaining member of the family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and homemaker all of her life. She loved to travel in car vacation trips around the country with Charles. She also always enjoyed little trips to the casinos to play the "one arm bandits." She also enjoyed cooking and loved doing word search puzzles. Rose has the proud title of being one of the only living survivors of the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco. In the year 2009 she was honored by the City of San Francisco. Friends may visit Friday 3pm to 9pm with a Vigil Service 7pm, followed by a Funeral Service Saturday 10am, all at Duggan Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. Daly City. Committal, at Skylawn Memorial Park (Highway 92, San Mateo and Halfmoon Bay).
