Dale Ruth Taber Born in San Francisco on December 3, 1934, passed away in Seattle on May 14, 2012. Dale passed peacefully in her sleep at home after a lengthy illness. Dale was a 2nd generation San Franciscan, a graduate of Lowell High School and San Francisco State University. Dale was a proud, loving and devoted Mother, Aunt, Great Aunt, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, and lived her life as a fiercely independent person. She was a Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente in Terra Linda for almost 20 years, and then worked for Group Health in the Seattle area for 10 years. Dale was known for her quick, dry wit and her boisterous laugh. She reveled in telling stories about her days growing up in San Francisco, her college field trips to the desert, her travels to the United Kingdom and Alaska, and her experiences as a nurse. She was particularly proud of her Scottish heritage and had a keen interest in the history of England. Dale was also an avid Star Trek fan and enjoyed reading mystery novels and spy thrillers. Dale was predeceased by her parents, Clarence Taber and Loretta Taber, and her brother Loren (Ben) Taber. She is survived by her daughter, Cristine Reynolds (Santmyers) and son-in-law Rob Reynolds; her son Marc Santmyers; her niece Katherine Underwood (Taber) and her grand niece Claire Underwood; her granddaughter Andrea Weathers (Reynolds), her grandson-in-law Laife Weathers, her great-grandchildren Saphire and Valon Weathers. A small private celebration of Dale's life will be held at a later date.
