Robert James McNeilly "Bob"
Oct. 27, 1923-Nov. 18, 2012
At 89, Robert passed away suddenly. He is survived by the love of his life, wife Fran, his devoted children: James, David, Robin, Rosemary, his 9 grandchildren & his 9 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters Frann Morris & Dory Mulcrevy and predeceased by brothers James, Hugh & sisters Lorraine & Mary. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Robert was born and raised in San Francisco, a city he loved dearly, to parents James and Anastasia. Robert was proud of his Scottish heritage and he passed that along to his other great love, his family. He joined the Navy serving 5 years & was a WWII veteran. Robert owned a hardwood flooring business until he retired at the age of 58. An avid bowler, he won the first house championship at Westlake Bowl. He had a passion for playing golf which he started later in life & was a member of Crystal Springs & Pine Mountain Lake Golf Clubs. He was a funny, life loving, protective family man who was a wonderful storyteller and also quite the practical joker. Bob, Dad, Grandpa; we raise our VO Manhattans in the air and toast to the wonderful life that you had. You will be missed.
Service to be held at Our Lady of Angels Church, Burlingame on Nov 23 at 11:00am.
