Jeff "Jeffro" Davis of San Francisco and Shanghai, died of ALS on December 15th, 2012 at the age of 60. Jeff spent the last six years playing music in Shanghai. He was part owner of Bee Dee's Music Bar, where he played many styles of music and mentored many musicians, in particular Tom Pang, a Mongolian bluegrass mandolin player. Previous to that, he owned the record store, Flat Plastic Sound and was in several bands, including, Polkacide, Thee Hellhounds, The Snake Oil Boys and Stinky and The Rat Bastards. Jeff was a Big Guy, a big intellect, a big sense of humor, and he had a big heart. He will be missed by many. There will be a Musical Memorial at Thee Parkside in SF., Jan. 26th 4-8pm.
