Born and raised in Longview, Texas, Chip graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Engineering Technology. A highly respected engineer, wise diplomat and trusted advisor, Chip implemented key improvements at the companies he served, and did it with a leadership style that included humility, compassion and grace.
Chip was a Principal at ENGEO Incorporated, a leading geotechnical engineering firm. He embraced his career with a commitment to excellence in service to others, whether they were clients, employees or service providers. Chip had a remarkable sense of humor and a contagious sense of optimism. He loved life. He was a gentle soul and was eager to help others. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, son and friend. Chip is survived by his beloved wife Charissa, mother Carrie Moore, brother Andy Moore, sister Sara Gray and nieces and nephews. A celebration of Chip's life will be held on Sunday, April 14th at 12 noon. Service will be held in the Tower Room at Mountain View Cemetery, 5000 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions to defray funeral costs and assist Chip's family are appreciated.
