Pearl "Pat" Jung and Paul "Pj" Charles Jung
Pearl "Pat" Jung (7/12/27- 9/19/13) and Paul "Pj" Charles Jung (8/7/26-8/29/13) unexpectedly passed away traveling on their annual road trip to Las Vegas. They were looking forward to meeting their friends and celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on 9/11/13.
Pat and Paul were loving parents to Orin (Jacqueline), Tedman (Nancy), and Perry (Rob) and blessed grandparents to Rachel, Marisa, Trevor and Taylor, truly proud of every accomplishment each grandchild achieved. They are survived by many relatives and loved ones.
A Navy veteran of WWII, Paul later retired from Bechtel Corp after 40 years, enjoying all professional sports, fishing, and attending his "Wednesday Lunch Group." Pat was a loving housewife and later retired from the S.F. Unified School District as a Teacher's Aid for Sherman Elementary. The couple were avid world travelers and enjoyed many trips to Nevada to play their hand at lady luck. They were also active members of the Cathay Club in S.F. Chinatown.
Per their wishes, a private joint memorial service was held with immediate family members. May they rest in peace together eternally.
Pat and Paul were most proud of their grandchildren's continued success as young adults. A scholarship has been established in their honor to support future young leaders in their pursuit of a higher education. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the JUNG MEMORIAL FUND C/O TED JUNG at 1638 Baker St., San Francisco, CA 94115.
A celebration of life luncheon will also be held on Saturday 10/26/2013.
