Palmira Mary Balestreri, 93, raised in Colma, California passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 2, 2013 in San Mateo, California. She was born in San Francisco, the daughter of Angelo and Angelina Micheletti. She was the youngest of six siblings, Frank, Gino (Jim), Bruna (Dolly), Bruno, Ada & Nella. She married Frank Balestreri, who passed away on February 2, 2007. Both enjoyed their retirement years in Daly City, California. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing blackjack, pulling the slot machines in Reno and Lake Tahoe and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Diana Balestreri from San Carlos, California and son and daughter-in-law, James and Arlene Balestreri from Vacaville, California; grandchildren Monica Walsh, Michael Balestreri, Dawn Camacho and Chrissy Lucas; great-grandchildren Sean and Anthony Walsh, Zachary, Jonathan, Joseph and Isabella Camacho, Tarissa, Julian, Alyssa, and Alexxa Lucas and Dominic Balestreri.
The family would like to thank Vivian Fragiacomo and staff at Complete Senior Living for all their love, care and support during this difficult time.
A visitation will be held on, Wednesday, October 09, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Crippen & Flyn, Carlmont Chapel, 1111 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, California 94002. A funeral mass will be held on October10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Church, 880 Tamarack, San Carlos. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
