Jack Raymond Cooper

Long time resident of Tiburon, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 25, 2013 at the age of 88. Born in San Francisco to Isidore and Sarah Cooper. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1942 and enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 with his parents consent and served in the Pacific Theater. On his return, Jack went into real estate and ultimately became a very successful real estate Appraiser and Mortgage Broker until his retirement in 1995. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Ellen Sarver and Audrey Schneider, and his cherished wife of 53 years Bertha "Bert"; survived by nieces Andrea Sarver and Janyce Suarez of Southern CA and Peggy Loprano of New Jersey and their families.  Jack was a member of Richardson Bay Yacht Club for many years and was a life member and Past Commodore of Corinthian Yacht Club where he was often called upon to serve as Master of Ceremonies as he was a raconteur and stand-up comedian without peer.


Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Corinthian Yacht Club. If able to attend, please contact Virginia White (415)388-2511.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Corinthian Yacht Club, 43 Main St., Belvedere, CA  94920 or Hospice of Marin.
