October 13, 1935 – August 20, 2017
Dennis was born in Oakland, CA, to Ernest F. Perry and Lucile S. Perry on October 13, 1935. He grew up in Berkeley and after graduating from Berkeley High School, Dennis worked at State Farm where he met his wife of 54 years, the late Diane Obermuller, whom he married right before leaving for his Army station in Germany in 1958. Diane followed him to Germany, where they had many adventures during his service before returning to the Bay Area (El Cerrito, Albany and Walnut Creek). Dennis was very passionate about the printing industry, where he worked for most of his career, retiring in 1998 from K/P Printing Services in Berkeley. Dennis loved going on cruises with his wife, playing bridge with various groups in Walnut Creek, attending San Francisco Symphony performances, and was a long time, very active Board Member for the Bancroft Village Homeowners Association. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

God has blessed me and all of my cousin Dennis Perry's family. I have wonderful memories of our younger years. though Dennis was quite a bit older, he was always someone I could look up to.
Rest well dear cousin, rest well.

I'm sad to learn of Dennis's passing but I'm reminded of fun times. Dennis hired me to work for KP in the fall of 1991. It was my first job out of college. There was about 8-9 of us that worked together in Emeryville. I worked with both Dennis and Van and heard many family stories. Our small office was very much a family. I kept in touch with Dennis during all the years often have reunion dinners with the old gang. I will miss Dennis and his laugh. I'm happy that he is with Diane again. My prayers go out to his girls and their families. Rest In Peace
