Roberta Genevieve Verrue

Roberta Genevieve Verrue, 92, died July 12, 2013 in her home at the High Desert Assisted Living in Bend, Oregon.
A Memorial Service will be held in October. Her urn will be laid to rest beside those of her husband, Dick in Belleview Cemetery, Ontario, California.
Roberta was born on May 31, 2013 to Grover and Effie (Anderson) Jordan. She married Richard R. Verrue and was joined for 61 years before his passing. She lived the majority of her life in Southern California.
Roberta was blessed with a large and loving group of family and friends. Some of her greatest passions in life included bridge, golfing, sewing, traveling and RV'ing with her husband, Dick, their cat Miss Priss, and friends. She loved camping in the mountains and entertaining.
She was a member of the Junior League, Newcomer's Club, an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Upland, and an active member of the Eastern Star.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and a sister Helen.
She is survived by two children, daughter, Carole Cheesman of La Pine, Oregon and son Randall Verrue and wife Sandra of Port Ludlow, WA. Her four grandchildren, Jay Barnum and wife Tamara, Bobbi Tumolo and her husband Sal, Scott Verrue and his wife Diana and David Verrue. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, six great-great- grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Ruth Verrue and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Baird Memorial Chapel in La Pine is honored to have served the Verrue family.
