COORPRIDER, Walter Walter,Cooprider, 100 years of age, was born in Brazil, IN on July 17, 1914, passed away peacefully in Walnut, CA on June 26, 2015. Walter is survived by his Daughter, Jill Sinclair (Todd), sons, Jack (Phyllis) and James (Barbara) with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Walter will be laid to rest beside his wife, Helen (2010) at Memory Garden Memorial Park, Brea, CA.

Cordero, Ursula I. "Sally" - Roseville  
Surrounded by her family, Ursula Cordero passed away peacefully on June 18, 2015 in Roseville CA. Born in Nueva Vizcaya Philippines, she was the 2nd oldest child of Clarence and Gertrudez Ignacio. She graduated from Bambang National HS and received her Bachelor's in Accounting (summa cum laude) from Far Eastern University, PI. Sally spent over 30 years with the Los Angeles Unified School District as a Financial Analyst in the Transportation Branch Sally is survived by her children, Charito (Uda) & husband Terry; Butch & wife Joyce; Jen (Martinez) & husband Derek. Grandchildren: Cassi & Koji Uda and Noah Martinez. Siblings: Thelma (Cajimat) & husband Sonny; Aleli (Ibanez) & husband Eddie; Viring (Ignacio) & wife Malou; Lina (Miranda) & husband Fred; Jessie Dela Cruz, Julie (Punsiriruk) & husband Paul. Numerous nephews & nieces throughout the country. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7 @ 9:00am, at Rose Hills

Hauser, Jean S. - Covina  
Jean Hauser was a member of the Greatest Generation. He lived a long and honorable life. He leaves behind his sons, David (Glenda), John (Linda), and daughter, Grace (Rick). As well as eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Ramona, and daughter, Ramona Ann. He served in WWII, as one of Merrill's Marauders, in China-Burma-India. He left this world on his terms, at home, with the people, memories and things he loved. He is now with our Lord and Saviour. "A man's word is his bond."

Pemberton, Vernette Ann - San Gabriel  
Pemberton,Vernette Ann Vernette Ann Pemberton (nee: Anderson) died peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Hacienda Heights, CA at the age of 90. She was a long-time resident of Hacienda Heights. Mrs. Pemberton is survived by her son, Timothy Pemberton, of Markleeville, CA; granddaughter, Angela (Seth) Parker of Modesto, CA; grandsons, Brian Pemberton, of Chico, CA and Sean Pemberton of North Las Vegas, NV; great-grandsons, Austin and Eathan Parker; and her fiancée of many years, Jim Carskaddon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Pemberton, and her son, Patrick Pemberton. Mrs. Pemberton was born on September 18, 1924 in Wichita, KS to Vernon and Anna Anderson. She was an alumni of the University of Southern California (USC) and was a proud special education teacher at the Bassett Unified School District until her retirement. Mrs. Pemberton was a member and president of the local Lions Club, Womens Club of La Puente, Red Hat Society, and several other community service organizations during her life time. She was also Manager of Pemberton Hardware in Rowland Heights for many years.

Pillsbury Warner, Elizabeth C. - San Luis Obispo  
Elizabeth Caroline Hoyle Pillsbury Warner, born Nov. 26, 1916, in Saranac Lake, NY passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Bella Vista Transitional Care Center in San Luis Obispo, CA at 98 years old. In 1986, Elizabeth married Fenwick Warner of Glendora, CA. They shared 16 years of marriage, travel, book collecting and family visits before he passed away in 2002. Celebration of Life services will be held Sat., Sept. 26, 2015, at Busti Federated Church, Busti, NY, at 10 am. Preceding Elizabeth in death were her husbands, Russell H. Pillsbury and Fenwick Warner; and son Mark Andrew Pillsbury.

Smith, Stephen James - Glendora  
SMITH, Stephen James Stephen James Smith, born October 7, 1955, to Robert James Smith and Winifred May (Rogers) Smith, passed away June 21, 2015, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He attended Glendora schools and Citrus College before starting his career in the food and beverage industry. He was a "Mixologist Extraordinaire," and watching him mix a cocktail was an entertaining experience. A member of the Cali SS/SoCal SS car clubs, he took great pride in showing his '96 Caprice SS at the Impala SS events and winning many trophies and awards. He was predeceased in death by his father Robert, brother David Michael Smith and step-father Edward V. Farrell. He is survived by his mother Winifred Farrell, his lover and friend of 22 years D. Stephanie Reynaga, their two children Sydney Marie Smith and Robert Stephen Smith, sister-in-law Thea Smith Champagne, aunt Joan (Rogers) and uncle Belmont Reid, and Stephanie's daughter Tabetha (Carroll) Deal who he helped raise. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Mill Creek Cattle Co. in Mentone, CA. Check their web site for details. YSLAVA, Virginia Horta Virginia Horta Yslava, born April 2,1923. Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Passed away on June 28, 2015, at the age of 92 in her sleep. She was born and raised in Monrovia, California and lived her adult life in Duarte, California. Preceded in death by her parents Joe and Willy Horta, Husband Pete B. Yslava, Brothers Joe and Manuel Horta, Sisters Lucy Romero and Jenny Herrera, Brother-in-law Paul Romero, Daughter Jo ann Lopez. Survived by her brother Charles Horta and sister-in-law Sally, brother-in-law Jess Herrera, her son Patrick Yslava and daughter-in-law Carmen, daughter Teresa Holguin and son-in-law Richard, 8 grandchildren Mike Yslava and his wife Maria, Jim Yslava, Frank Salazar, Olivia Renteria and husband Reno, Elycia Hill and husband Spencer, Alfred Salazar III, Robert Lopez, Rosie Maynor and husband Froy, 12 great grandchildren Vanessa Yslava, Danny Yslava, Marisa Maynor, Luc Maynor, Tim Yslava, Chris Salazar, Isaiah Hill , Evelyn Renteria, Romeo Salazar, Lauren Renteria, Chloe Salazar, Alfred Salazar IV, many nieces and nephews and numerous children she loved and cared for over the year in her home. She was loved dearly and will be missed. She loved to dance, and we'll see her again to dance together in heaven.
