Edward Terronez Colunga
He was affectionately known as Eddie Colunga to family and friends.
He passed away on April 3, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 87.
He was born in Colton, Ca on March 31, 1926, where he had been a long time resident.
He is survived by his wife Bertha Colunga and from his first marriage he is survived by his five children Maria Inez, Miguel, Manuel(Amber), Ruben(Socorro), Raul(Carmel).
He is also survived by eight grandchildren Andre, Ian, Emmi, Kyle, Haley, Gracie, Jaron, Matthew. Other survivors include three stepchildren Chris, Jacob, and William and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He served in the military, after which he worked at Norton Air Force Base as a civilian employee. After retirement, he worked at Fedco, and for the Colton School District as a crossing guard. In his later years he worked for Wal-Mart in San Antonio. He was especially proud of the recent honoring of the Colunga family at the Colton Area Museum, where an original artifact belonging to his father Doroteo Colunga is now on display.
His love of family will be greatly missed.
Services are to be held on Tuesday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at the Hermosa Cemetery Chapel in Colton followed by internment.
