Keith Mullins

Born February 18, 1944 with amazing blue eyes and a magical smile, passed away on August 24, 2013. Keith spent his early years in Van Nuys at Nazareth House Home for Boys, followed by Los Angeles High School, and service in the Air Force. He returned to Van Nuys where he met his wife Marilyn while working at Sears Department Store in 1966. He would spend the rest of his life in Van Nuys as a business owner, community advocate and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He contributed countless hours to St. Elisabeth Church and, after his kids were grown, to the Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce. His business career included New York Life, Indian Motorcycle, Italjet Motorcycle and The Earthquake Valve Company. Keith was coined the "Miracle Man" following his near fatal car accident in 1999 that left him in a coma for 43 days. Given a second chance after his accident, Keith fought hard for 14 years to live a full life with his wife of 46 years, Marilyn, their three children, Christina (Brad) Capo, Theresa (Devin) LaFrance and Steve (Shauna) Mullins, and his eight grandchildren, Chris, Emily, Sophia, Phoebe, Ella, Carson, Kelly and Duke. It is impossible to describe the greatness of the man he was, but Keith always welcomed you with a warm embrace, loved life to its fullest, never complained about his challenges and always inspired others to appreciate the greatness of life.

A viewing and funeral mass will be held at St. Mel Catholic Church, in Woodland Hills. The viewing is September 4th from 5:00 to 8:00pm and the funeral is September 5th at 11:00 a.m.
