VENEGAS, Ronald W.

Ronald W. Venegas passed away on April 28, 2014, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Ron was born on January 14, 1945, to Manuel and Frances (Felicitas) Venegas. He was the fourth of seven sons. The family lived in Medina Court; he attended Nativity Grammar School, Arroyo High School, and Citrus College. He lived most of his life in El Monte, with some years in Oakland and Rosarito, Mexico. He retired from Santa Anita Race Track. A USC fanatic, Ron was
deeply loved by his family and friends. He is survived by brothers John and Camilo, their wives, childhood friend John Valdez, ten nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Seldom does a friendlier, more engaging person come into our lives. A Memorial Mass, for family and friends, will be scheduled at Annunciation Church, Arcadia, for a later date.
