GILBERT SOLORIO Obituary

Surrounded by his family & friends Gilbert J. Solorio, 65, passed peacefully onto Heaven to be with his Lord on September 14, 2010. He was born on August 16, 1945 in Upland, CA to Salvador & Petra Solorio; married his high school sweetheart Lucy Rodelo on Aug. 15, 1965. He was a life long resident of Chino, CA. He was a member of New Beginnings Ministries. Gilbert loved & greatly enjoyed his family & friends. His joys in life were being a husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle & brother. His greatest pride was sitting in the stands cheering on his Grandchildren.. being their #1 Fan. His favorite vacations were spent with his family in the family vacation home in Ensenada, Mx & summers in Laguna Bch. He is proceeded by his parents Salvador & Petra Solorio & brother Danny Solorio. He will forever be loved & deeply missed by his wife Lucy, of 45 years; his 4 children, Janette Rivera (David), Marlene Vidana (David), Dionna Gonzales (Mike), & Gilbert Solorio (Sabrina); neice Daniela Rodelo; 12 grandchildren: Brittney, Janessa & Isaiah Rivera, Davina & Jacob Vidana, Michael, Nicky & Marena Gonzales, Jauzlin, Andrew, Natalya & Joshua Solorio; 4 silblings, Raymond, Manuel, Mike Solorio, Della Gonzales & dearest friend Lorraine Wells. Services Friday September 24, 2010, 10:00 am at Cross Point Church 6950 Edison Ave., Chino, CA. Arrangements handled by Southern California Funeral Services 866-574-7660
