Glen Hofeldt Obituary

Glen Elwin Hofeldt Glen was born in Iowa, as there was no hospital in the Nebraska town were his parents lived. After 2 years his family moved to Colton in San Bernardino, CA. After a few years there they moved to Long Beach in time to experience the earthquake of 1933. Glen graduated from Poly High School in 1938, enlisted in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and served overseas in India and the South Pacific. After the war he came back to live in Long Beach the rest of his life, as there was no place else he would rather be. Glen had a twin sister, Gwen; and an older brother, Randal, who both preceded him in death. He had a strong faith in the Bible and is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife, Margret and son, Gary. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 11:00 am at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary, 5161 Arbor Rd in Long Beach. Viewing will start one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be private at Riverside National Cemetery. Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell (562) 425-6401

Glen and I served as church ushers at Grace Brethren Church in Long Beach for years. He was a faithful and efficient co-worker, and a great
example to many of us.
