Matthew Pecoraro Obituary

Matthew H. Pecoraro Matthew H. Pecoraro born October 25, 1937 in Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 18, 2010. Matt is survived by daughters, Jennifer and Eddie Carbine; brother, Valentine Pecoraro; nieces, Patty Scarlatta, Paula Green; nephew, Mark D'Angelo, Uncle Leo Lucie; and cousins, Martin Lucie and Andrea Lucie. Matt relocated to Southern California from New York with his family in the 1950s and graduated from Westchester High, Class of 1956. After serving in the U.S. Army and receiving the Good Conduct Medal and sharpshooter designation, Matt was employed by Border Steel Fabricators for 20 years as a member of the Shopmen's Ironworker's Union in Los Angeles. Matt will be remembered as a loving, loyal family member and trusted friend who always found time to listen, visit and share a story or a laugh. He will remain in our hearts and will be deeply missed. A viewing will be held at the Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary, 5161 E. Arbor Road, Long Beach on Tuesday, October 26 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Lakewood on Wednesday, October 27, with interment to follow at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Long Beach.
