PHYLLIS ROE Obituary

PHYLLIS W. ROE Age 91, a resident of San Bernardino for 54 years, passed away on October 4, 2010, at home. She was born in Souix Falls, S.D. She was a Pacific Bell Long Distance Operator for 27 years. She enjoyed ceramics, church, and being a Grandma, and was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Rialto, CA. She is survived by her children, Fern Alexander, Jim Roe and Carol Campbell; grandchildren, Steve Castor, Kenny Castor, Mark Castor, Joey Castor, Becky Case, Greg Roe, Victoria Hesch, Suzanne Billdt and Angela Rivers; 16 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. Visitation: Sunday, October 10, 2010, 12 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. at Mt. View Mortuary. Funeral: Sunday, October 10, 2010, 2:30 P.M. at Mt. View. Hi Grandma,
I was looking at your picture the other day, I sure do miss your sweet smile. It's so different without you here, as you know. Everyone is dealing with your absence differently, as expected, that's because you were so loved and you touched so many lives. You were the best grandma I could have ever imagined, I can never thank you enough for that. I only hope I can be there for Hannah's kids as you were for me...with loving arms, forgiveness, and guidance.

Hi Mom, I haven't been to visit you for a while because of health and surgery. I drove my car for the first time yesterday since over a month. I think I can come bring flowers by next Monday. I miss you so much and Love you. Hannah dreamed that you were playing ball in a field of flowers with Grandma Mattie and said that you were happy. Phyllis was my substitute Mom for many years. She was always there with quiet and gentle advise when I needed. She will be greatly missed, but I know she is in a much better place while smiling down on all of us. My kids send their love too.

We have had wonderful times together and some sad ones too. Your love and strength is what has held this family together.
