Charlotte H. Syverstad

- SYVERSTAD-Charlotte H. Syverstad, a life-long resident of Azusa, passed away on December 23, 2010, at the age of 85. Charlotte met her husband, Trygve, during WWII and they married in 1944. She was a civic-minded volunteer for the Red Cross, Junior Women's Club, Golden Days and played keyboard for convalescent homes and city functions. Her passion for music was fulfilled by teaching hundreds of students piano and organ lessons for 50 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Trygve (2006). She is survived by her daughter, Linda Syverstad (Mike) Shehee; grandson, James (Beth) Shehee; great grandchildren, Aidan, Ethan and Molly Shehee, and other extended family members. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00pm, at White's Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 8:30am at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, Azusa. The interment will follow at Oakdale Memorial Park, Glendora, CA.
