Mr. Neal made it easy for me to understand what they mean when they say "the greatest generation." He was a devout, humble WWII veteran. He loved God and his family, and was loved by them and those who knew him. I am grateful to have been one of those people.
May he celebrate in the peaceful joy that is the presence of the Lord.

To all who mourn Ellis Neal: Please know that Mr. Neal made a lasting impression on his thousands of students. As one of his 8th grade students at Fremont School, Alhambra, when his teaching career was at its start (1953) his lessons have not been lost.

Dear family of Ellis J Neal,
My love and prayers are with you at this time of the loss of your dear husband, father, and grandfather. We know he is in a better place now at peace with our Lord, but it is still a difficult thing for those left behind when we lose a loved one. May you find comfort in knowing you will be reunited with him in Heaven someday! You are loved! Cheryl Chapin (friend of Jeanette & Mitch's family)
