When a baby is born the angels in Heaven cry and we on Earth rejoice. When our love one dies we on Earth cry and the angels in Heaven rejoice because that spirit has returned home.

Ms. Doris Roberts was a mentor and a very good friend. She always had a beautiful smile on her face. I remember my first months at Pacific High School as a brand new teacher. Ms. Roberts shared her strategies and tips on how to be successful as a teacher. When I became a counselor at Pacific she was right there to guide me. You never know how blessed you are until that person is no longer there to call on. I will truely miss you Ms. Doris Jean Roberts.

I had the honor of having Ms. Roberts as my counselor in high school. I have many memories of her. But the one that stickes out in my mind the most is that day I walked in her office and told her I wanted to drop out. She looked at me and laughed... She said you can't drop out unless I sign the paper and umm... ha ha I ain't singing nothin, now go back to class. I spent a lot of time in her office over my 4 years at Pacific. We shared alot. I remember no matter how I felt when I walked in, when I walked out I always had a smile. Ms. Roberts always let me know she loved me, that she cared and that she would always be there. And she was, through everything. She will truly be missed. Her legacy will live on and lives will continue to be changed because of the lives she changed.
I love & appreciate you Ms. Doris Jean Roberts.

Ms. Roberts, I appreciated meeting you and you agreeing to take me under your wing as a Counseling Internship Student. Not many counselors wanted interns, and you so graciously agreed, we never got to fulfill that because of your transfer and circumstances, but you steered me to a nice person as well. You are so very beautifully classy. Your spirit was effervescent, and made me want to become a high school counselor even more. Thank you for your kindness. Many thoughts and prayers to your family. You will be missed.

You were the best counselor any student could ask for. When I said I was taking a year off then going to college you said "NO" and made me register to go to CSUSB that fall. Its because of you that I am a college graduate today. Thank you, your legacy will continue through all the lives you've touched

"Ms. Roberts made an impact on my life! She was my high school counselor and encouraged me to be more than a statistic. She always had kind words to say and was always encouraging. I love that she was straight forward and not afraid to let you know it. They do not make teachers and / or counselors like her anymore. You will be missed. My condolences.." Doris you were such a classy lady and a special friend. For over ten years we shared the ups and downs of life through conversation at Pacific's lunch table where you would share your life stories and listen to ours. We laughed, cried and planned our lives. I am so blessed to have had you as my friend. Thinking of you will always make me smile."

We will miss you Aunt Jean. You were the best thing to ever happen to us, then when I had children, you became the best thing that happened to them.
My heart is broken, but I will begin to rebuild and continue with the pieces of you left me and taught me. Your light will always shine within me.
God bless you!!!!!
Always your loving great-nephew...see you later!
