GERTRUDE C. REBERT

GERTRUDE C. REBERT Age 99, a resident of Fontana, CA, for 30 years, passed away on December 6, 2010, in Fontana, CA. She was born in Booneville, Ark. She was a housewife for 79 years. Mom was always a neighborhood helper and confidant, but also active in a broader context, receiving recognition for her volunteer work at Patton State Hospital in 1960 and 1961. She received a Golden Deed Award in 1961 from the Fontana Exchange Club. She was involved in numerous women's clubs in Fontana and other cities, chairman of the Tustin Area Women's Club Veteran's Affairs Committee. She was also very active in political organizations, such as the California Republican Assembly and Freedoms' Foundation Concerned Women of America. In 1960 she was the California Legislator's Woman of the Year. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Louise Mitchell of Scotland; son, Charles S. Rebert of Coulterville, CA; 4 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Service: Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2:00 P.M. at Green Acres Mortuary Chapel. Cemetery: Green Acres Memorial Park, Bloomington, CA.
