Smitty Hart, i love and will keep you in my heart forever, you were the first one to bring me out to sing and my mom only trusted you to bring me to the gigs and bring me home safetly. After all you were our mailman. Your wife never got tired of me calling and asking for rehersal and gigs. She alway supported you and me, your kids were little but i remember them well. You and pete thompson and humbert and all the musicians that have gone must be having a good time in heaven. Dont forget to beat the walls for a new sound, i will never forget you and your happy smile and when you said hey jacquie, you and me and al wilson and all the fellows had times to remember. May God keep you in his arms and rock you to sleep each and every minute. God bless you and keep you safe. love jacquie mayfield, Blues Singer.

Smitty,
I will never forget your wonderful smile, laughter and encouragement in music. You taught me the basic principles of music via your drums in one lesson--such was the breadth of your wisdom. Musical order and composition was realized. The year was 1968 at the Legion and Tops in San Bernardino. The late great Pete Thompson of Riverside was on sax--it was a groove! It was Soul Time in joints of the day.
Now you are at rest and I will always remember you. May the Lord bless and keep you on his day to come.
Sincerely,
Joe Casados Blues/Jazz guitarist
