CRESCENCIO CERVANTEZ Obituary

CRESCENCIO "CHRIS" CERVANTEZ Age 82, of Rialto, died of heart failure, Monday at St. Bernardine Hospital. He was born in Lake Geneva, Illinois, on 9/14/1927, Crescencio was a lifelong resident of Rialto. Chris was a 40 year member of Local Plasters Union 300. He enjoyed telling the story of plastering "Bob Hope's" house and his wife's "Delores" private chapel in Palm Desert, CA. He is survived by two daughters, Rosalie J. Acosta of Highland, Linda Chaney of Rialto; five sons, Baltazar Cervantez of Highland, Chris Jr. of Redlands, Dannie Cervantez and Rudy Cervantez of Rialto, Robert Cervantez of Tyler, Texas; brothers, Raul Cervantez of Rialto, Frank Beltran of Highland; seven sisters, Connie Garcia of San Bernardino, Josephine Bonilla of Redlands, Mary Helen Selk of Modesto, Vera Granillo of Redlands, Mary Elias of Highland, Mickey Scott of Lake Havasu, AZ, Carmen Lara of Elko, NV. Chris also has 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. with Rosary at 7 P.M., Monday at Mark B. Shaw Mortuary, 1525 N. Waterman Avenue, San Bernardino, 92404. Mass will be at 11 A.M. at Lady of Guadalupe, 1430 West 5th Street, San Bernardino 92411. Interment will be at Montecito Memorial Park at Waterman Avenue and Barton Road in Colton. Reception immediately following at VFW Hall, 2018 Foothill Blvd., "Route 66", San Bernardino 92410.
