Maria Guadalupe Ortiz Oseguera

OSERGUERA-Maria Guadalupe Ortiz Oseguera, passed away on October 15, 2010. Lupe, as she was best known to those that knew her, was born on September 10, 1954 in Mexico City. Lupe devoted her working life to the Duarte community, as a long-time staffer for Duarte High School. To the students, she was known as the warm, friendly voice in the Attendance Office. Her personal life was consumed with love and laughter as she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Lupe welcomed the first boy grandbaby, early last year. As part of a close-knit family, she also enjoyed spending time with her children, relatives and friends. She was known for her compassionate nature, often lending endless support and wise words through difficult times. Lupe was a fighter, a genuine heart, a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her fight is over, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those that love and miss her. She is survived by her husband, Jorge Oseguera, children Jorge A. Oseguera and Monique S. Oseguera; grandchildren, Julia N. Oseguera, Angelica J. Oseguera and Alexander De Leon; brother, Jorge Ortiz, niece, Katrina Ortiz and nephew, Christopher Ortiz; brother, Felix Ortiz, niece, Jessica Ortiz and nephew, Felix Ortiz Jr.; and an extended family that will miss her dearly. Funeral services are as follow: Viewing - Thursday, October 21, 5-8:30pm at Oakdale Mortuary in Glendora. Mass - Friday, October 22, 10AM Immaculate Conception Church in Monrovia. Private interment to follow.
