I love all the memories of Dr. Bert & Ruth Husband partly because I was a Husband, then married a Haddow, had 2 kids...he died...I would have planted a tree but I live in MMPP in Canada so I'm in "50 Shades of Green!"

Dr. Husband, aka "Dr. Bert", was my doctor from about 1956 until the mid 1970s. He had an office off of Gunn & Whittier Blvd. Then, he moved to an HMO in La Habra which he hated. He told me that he was forced to leave his private practice due to the high cost of insurance. My mother & father first met him back in the '50s when they attended the Church of Christ in Whittier. Dr. Husband was most proud of his prized Arabian stallion, Khemosabi; one of the greatest sires of all time. I once worked with a man back in the late '70s who was a patient of Dr. Husband's. He told me that Dr. Husband saved his life. Dr. Husband performed several surgeries on my mother over the years, none of which were performed for personal gain. He was a very honest man. He was also one of the brightest men I've ever known.
