My hurt aches for the Halma family in the loss of Art, especially for his wife Gladys. I am thankful for having known Art, he was one of the best Christian influences in my life and always gave the best hugs. I will miss his smile, his wonderful laugh and the way he said, "Good morning" in Dutch if you made an early morning call. I will carry the memory of Art in my heart for the rest of my life. I wish his family the sweetest memories. He will be greatly missed.

As a father in the faith, Art Halma modeled what it’s like to follow Jesus with grace, humility, and humor. As a church elder, Art served with faithful leadership, his big heart, and Godly wisdom.
As a decades-long cancer survivor, he showed what it’s like to trust God while facing hard times and to help others along the way. As a Christian friend, he encouraged and loved well, and could leave you feeling lifted even after the briefest encounter.
Art was one of a kind – but he leaves a positive, lasting impression on the lives he touched. We will dearly miss him.

As Art's niece - I have good memories of my Uncle Art. Always had a smile and kind word. He will surely be missed but was greeted in heaven by many who loved him!
