Ann Bollinger Obituary

BOLLINGER-Ann Lillian Bollinger, whose love of family and abiding faith served as the guide posts of her life, was comforted by the presence of her husband and children as she passed away on October 28, 2010. Born in Anaconda, Montana on July 19, 1916, Ann was the oldest daughter of Mary and Daniel Haffey and the second of ten children. Ann Married Bernard H. "Ben, Sr." Bollinger on June 18, 1936 in Anaconda, Montana. They had five children: Ben (Lois); Don (Terry); Mary Ann (Paul Milhous); Judy (Arlowe Collom); and Janice (Jack Lee). She was preceded in death by her son Don. At 39 years of age Ann and Ben, Sr. (Then 41), moved the family to Glendora, CA in June 1955 and remained residents there for 55 years. Ann was also particularly proud of the impact that her family has had upon the local community, as nearly all of her children, 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren live within a 25 mile radius of Ben and Ann's Glendora Home. A celebration of her life will be held at Holy Name of Mary Church in San Dimas, CA on Wednesday, November 3rd at 7:30 p.m. and the funeral will be held on Thursday, November 4th at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Citrus Valley Hospice, 820 N. Phillips Ave., West Covina, CA 91791 or to the charity of your choice.

Dear Bollinger Family,
Words can not express our sympathy in the loss of your precious mother/wife/grandmother & great-grandmother.
One of my memories of Ann referenced prayer. Ann said when you don't know what to pray for a particular person/incidence pray for the Holy Spirit's direction that God's will may be done. I have cherished that guidance and have used it since that day. God bless Ann and may perpetual light shine upon her.

To all the Bollinger Family, We so loved "Grandma Ann" and can truly say we feel blest to have known her. She was an admired Matriarch of a beautiful family. God Bless you all for the love and attentiveness you have shown her during her declining years. With deepest sympathy, Pam and Gerald Coffey

I'll remember Aunt Anna for her love of family... both immediate and extended. Her smile was sincere and laughter infectious. Stories of her youth were always told with a lesson and a sense of humor that belied reality.

To Uncle Ben and all my cousins, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'll miss her calmness, generosity of spirit and sense of humor. It was always a joy to see her and in my heart she was my second mom.
