ANTHONY R. CHOMO

A resident of Simi Valley, CA passed away on Wednesday, June 20th at his home after a lengthy illness. Anthony was born on November 24, 1938 in Whiting, Indiana. Anthony (Tony) attended Commerce High School in Worcester, MA.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. Anthony married Janet Novick of Millbury, MA on June 18, 1960. They lived in Sutton, MA until 1978 when he and his family relocated to Simi Valley, CA. He founded Sun West Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc. in Los Angeles, CA in 1979 and enjoyed a successful career in the industry. He retired in 2007 and his son continues Sun West to date.

Anthony loved long Sunday drives on his Harley, boating, cooking, trips to Las Vegas, and fast cars. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends debating politics and telling great stories about his life experiences.

He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who was loving and caring.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, James Chomo and Olga (Stevens) Chomo of Worcester, MA; and his son, Francis William Chomo of Southbridge, MA. He leaves his devoted wife of 52 years, Janet (Novick) Chomo of Simi Valley; his daughter, Laurie Morawski of Palmdale; his son, Anthony Chomo of Chatsworth; and his daughter, Lindi Lee of Sutton, MA; along with his brothers, Phillip Chomo of Westborough, MA and Steven Chomo of Holden, MA. Anthony leaves his granddaughters, Ciarra Westendorff, Jaclyn Morawski, Shannon Lee, Nicole Lee, Heather Morawski and Arianna Lee; and his grandsons, John Morawski, Michael Morawski and Ian Chomo. He also leaves his great granddaughter, Victoria Chomo; and three great grandsons, Dylan Westendorff, Jaiden Lee-Mills and John Phillips.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2012, from 11:00 a.m., to 1:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home followed by interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Simi Valley.
