Armyn Ballard Obituary

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Armyn LeRoy Ballard, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 27th in Quartz Hill, California. Born on May 14th 1921 in Canton, Illinois, he moved to California with his first wife Antonia, who preceded him in death. He faithfully served in the United States Navy as a Pilot and Navigator for 27 years. He was a gentleman, always positive, always gave a helping hand and never met a stranger. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maryland Ballard; two children, Donna Vincent and her husband Jerry Vincent, and Armyn Ballard Jr. and his wife Michelle Ballard all from Apple Valley; three grandchildren, Jessica Gardella of Ormond Beach, Florida, Nikole "Niki" Ballard and Brandon "Bubba" Ballard both of Apple Valley; his great grandchildren, Johnny, Joy, Caila, Dakota, Zaid and Tylee; three stepchildren, and numerous family and friends. Memorial services and celebration of life will be held at The American Legion Post #507, 24527 Spruce St., Santa Clarita, CA 91321, Saturday, November 6, 2010, 10:00 a.m.

dear donna & armyn jr. sorry to hear of your dads passing, he was one of a kind and will be missed. will miss not getting a christmas card from him, always looked forward to getting his card and finding out a little information about the family. my thoughts are with you at this sad time, another part of our past is gone and will never be able to get it back. hope to hear from you, would love to talk with you and get caught up with what has been going on with your lives. take care, always donna koch swanberg.
