BEATRICE CHESNEY Obituary

BEATRICE A. CHESNEY July 1, 1920 - Dec. 2, 2010 At 12:20 P.M. on Dec. 2, 2010, the Angels came down from Heaven and took our beloved Mother, Grandma, and BB to Heaven to be with Jesus. Bea, age 90, a resident of San Bernardino for 58 years, was born in Bay City, Michigan. She was the youngest of eleven children born to Edmund and Martha Glaza. She married Donald J. Chesney Sr. on January 28, 1939. Bea retired in 1982, as the Chief PBX operator, after working for Sears and Roebuck for 20 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral for 58 years. In her younger years, Bea loved to Bowl, and in her older years, play bingo and go to the casino to play the slots. She loved baseball. She was preceded in death by her parents, and all of her brothers and sisters, also her husband of 66 years, Don, who died on April 20, 2005. Bea is survived by her children: Don Jr. of San Bernardino, CA, and Bend, OR; Bob (Rhonda) of Bend, OR, and Lori (Richard) Vasquez of San Bernardino, CA; her Grandson, Michael D. Chesney Sr.; and Great Grandson, Michael D. Chesney Jr.; as well as family in Michigan. Bea loved all children, especially her own. She took great pride in being Grandma to Michael and Great-Grandma to Mikie, who lovingly called her BB. She was the BEST "Mother" and we will ALL miss her terribly. Visitation: Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, from 6 P.M. - 9 P.M. with Rosary at 7 P.M. at Colton Funeral Home, 1275 N. La Cadena Dr., Colton, CA.
