BEATRICE EMMA "BEE" SHARP

BEATRICE SHARP Obituary

BEATRICE EMMA SHARP ("BEE") passed away peacefully, at her home, in Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the age of 89, due to kidney failure complications caused by her diabetes. Her husband, children, and many of her grandchildren were with her that day. Bee was born in Blodgett, Missouri, on August 7, 1921, to James Rufus and Linna Lee Swaim, and had a brother, James who preceded her in death. Bee grew up in Riverside, CA, where she attended grade school and high school, and met her husband, Russell Eugene Sharp (Russ). She operated her own beauty salon in Riverside on 7th Street, not far from her father's barbershop. Bee and Russ lived for 57 years in Bloomington, CA, close to many relatives and friends before moving to Rancho Cucamonga in 2003. They attended the First Baptist Church in Riverside, where they made many very close and lasting friendships. Bee is survived by her husband, Russell; son, Russell Sharp Jr. (and Susan of Riverside, CA); and daughter, Kathleen Wilson (and Kenneth of Altadena, CA); grandchildren, Deborah Drayton, Julie Drayton, Christopher Sharp, Lisa Amador (Jon), Eric Wilson (Veroushka), and great grandchildren, Alexandra Hough, Miles and Nathan Amador, and Evan and Madelyn Wilson. A private family gathering is planned for Interment at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Diabetes Association is suggested. Bee loved portrait painting, sewing, and traveling with Russ and their friends. Her life was one of devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren, and to God. Bee's smile, laugh, and love will be remembered always.
