BEVERLY HEWEY Obituary

Crestline BEVERLY HEWEY A long time resident of Crestline, died Friday, the 1st of October, 2010, on a beautiful morning, at home in her beloved mountains. Born in 1931, in Los Angeles, California, Beverly and her husband, George moved to the San Bernardino Mountains to become teachers in the Rim of the World Unified School District in 1953. After five children and many students, she retired in 1993. Beverly loved cooking, crossword puzzles, books, fund raising for a good cause, going to plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She always recycled, and wanted to be useful in any way. Friends describe her as kind, generous, a class act, nice to be around, and an all around wonderful woman. She is survived by her daughters, Gayle of West Richland, WA, Janet of Riverside, CA, Linda and her husband, Michael of Sunnyvale, CA; her son, William of Crestline, CA; and many grand and great grand children, who brought great joy to her later years. She was predeceased by her husband, George, and her son, Steven and his wife, Ann. There will be High Tea to celebrate her life at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 16th at St. Richards Episcopal Church. Come with memories to share and perhaps your favorite tea cup. Beverly will be remembered at both the 8:00 A.M. and the 10:00 A.M. Sunday Services on October 17th at St. Richards Episcopal Church. Memorial gifts may be made to the Rim of the World Education Fund.
