Carmen Charles Cavezza

CAVEZZA-Carmen Charles Cavezza, 90, died peacefully in his sleep in Covina, California, on November 9, 2008. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 9, 1918, the son of Frank and Mary Cavezza, Italian immigrants who ran a grocery store. In 1941, he married Lucy Angelini Cavezza, the daughter of fellow store owners. They moved to California in 1946, where they built a beautiful life together. He worked as a welder for State Steel Corpo ration and later, Amro and heeven built his own house, where he and Lucy lived together for 47years. Carmen loved to travel, all over the world, and to each of the 50 United States. He enjoyed coaching in La Puente Little League for many years and was a charter member of the Bishop Amat High School Booster Club. He loved his sports and he loved his family most. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years; his children Fran (Cherie) and Mary Grace (Joe); his grandchildren Carole, Billy, Carly, Paul, Cather ine, and Gregory; and his great-grandchildren Nicole and Brandon.
