Denise McMeans Obituary

Denise McMeans February 13, 1955 - October 28, 2010 After a courageous battle with cancer, Denise went home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on October 28, 2010. She was an incredibly loving, caring, compassionate and strong woman who loved her family and friends. She will be missed more than words can express. While we are happy that she is at home with the Lord and is no longer suffering, our hearts ache in the void left by her passing. We look forward to the time when we will all be together again in God's presence. She is survived by her husband, Jim; her mother, Letha; her brother, Don; her son, Greg; her granddaughter, Brooke; and numerous other family and friends. A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at Bethel Grace Baptist Church, 17909 Carpintero Ave., Bellflower, CA.

Denise and I grew up together, from kindergarten through highschool; Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls; first communion and confirmation. I've always admired and known her for her courageous spirit and many strengths as well has her ferverant loyalty of friendship, which prepared her for endurance for her last battle. She is at peace now. She taught me to never surrender, to never give up. I'm blessed to have known Denise and will forever remember her.

Peace be with you.

I have known Denise for years. Such a wonderful person. I enjoyed having Denise as a friend in my life. She was such a fighter. She will be missed so much. She was loved by everyone that knew her. She was taken way to soon from us. I am so glad she is out of pain. God Bless You......
