Recently I was in a museum in Dodge City, Kansas, & there were photos of the founder of the Harvey Girls, a list of rules, and history. I then remembered Dorothy & all her wonderful stories! She was so proud of being a Harvey Girl. It made me proud to know her! I´ll never forget her indomitable spirit!

My Mom was an inspiration to all ! Always smiling with words of enthusiasm and encouragement . Her trustworthy commitment and Loyalty to family were just a few of her unsurpassable traits . No one in my life holds a candle to my moms legacy that will never be forgotten by anyone who knew her. I love you Mom ! Forever and ever..

Dorothy livened up any room that she walked into, and certainly brightened many of my days and cheered me on... She lived life fully, and had the "joie de vivre" as the French would say! I enjoyed her letters over the years as I lived overseas, and even through her letters, she put a smile on my face. I am sure she is smiling (or laughing) at us from the stars above. She was truly a STAR!
