DOYLE McGARITY Obituary

83, of Ontario, passed from this life into the arms of his heavenly Father, October 10, 2010, surrounded by his family. He was born December 23, 1926 in Pottsville, Arkansas to Owens & Willie McGarity. At age 16, Ralph moved with his family to California, where he spent the remainder of his life. Ralph was employed by GTE (Verizon) for 29 years, both as a mechanic and computer technician. He had a lifelong love & extensive knowledge of automobiles, but his greatest love was his family. He leaves behind his loving wife Rita McGarity, his precious friend & companion of 61 years. His 4 children, 9 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren were the light of his life. He also leaves his dear sister Virginia Ashmore LaPointe. As husband, dad, grandpa, papa & friend, Ralph holds a special place in the hearts of his family. Those who had the privilege of knowing Ralph, with his kind, unassuming and gentle strength, were blessed by his friendship. Funeral services will be held at 11:30am, October 16th, at Granite Creek Community Church, Claremont. Viewing will be at the church from 11:00am to 11:30am. Internment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina Hills.

Hi Deena, So sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my Dad in July so I know how you feel! The loss is overwhelming. Hold on to the good days and wonderful memories will help msee you through you sadness. My thoughts arew with you and your family!! Take care. Renee Benton Culllin.
