I had a meeting in 1958 at West Covina H.S with Mr. Deal over an infraction of the school rules. He treated me well and was not overly critical of my breaking the rule. I wish I had known at the time what a Hero he was from his service in the Marines in WW 2. A person just never knows when he is in the presents of history. Thank you Mr. Deal.
Sincerely

My sister and I attended Charter Oak High School, graduating in 1961 and 1962. Mr. Deal was our Principal and we have fond memories of him as a wonderful man who was kind, fair, and an example to all his students. He was an ideal Principal. Our sincere sympathy to the Deal family for their loss.
