Emily Hilerio Obituary

SOUQUETTEmily Souquett Hilerio, lost a long and brave battle with Alzheimer's disease December 18, 2010 in Arcadia, CA. Born in Glendale, Arizona, Emily is preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother Peter Hilerio, sister Theresa Videla, her daughter Marilyn Del Arroyo and her son Richard Del Arroyo. She is survived by 10 children, 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Of Puerto Rican decent, Emily was 9 years old when her mother passed away. She went to school up to the 3rd grade then remained home to care for her younger siblings. As an adult she continued her education, receiving an Associates of Arts degree from Pasadena City College. Emily had many passions; reading, history, gardening, cooking and of course spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren. She will forever remain in our precious memories. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December, 29 from 5:00-8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM both at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 30 at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Church in Arcadia.
