ERNEST REED Obituary

November 15, 2010 Ernest died peacefully with his wife of 75 years by his side. Ernest, known to his friends and family as Bill, was born in Upland, California. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Bernadean (Bea) Fern Hester whom he married on July 7, 1935. They lived most of their years in the cities of Pomona, Upland and Ontario. They moved to Spring Valley, CA in 1991 where they have resided at Mt. Miguel Covenant Village retirement community. Ernest joined the Marines and began his service to his country on April 2, 1943. He was a machinist until his discharge on June 3, 1946 with the rank of Corporal. He was an expert rifleman and received the good conduct metal. Ernest then worked at General Electric and in the lemon groves. Ernest was preceded in death by his sisters Lois, Gladys, Bessie, and stepbrother Frank Henry. In addition to his wife, he is survived by nieces and nephews. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, November 23 at 10:30 am at Bellevue Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1240 West G Street, Ontario, CA.
