Francis Shierant Obituary

Francis Shierant Francis "Fritz" Shierant passed away at his home in Las Vegas, NV on Friday, December 17, 2010. He was born September 18, 1928 in Girardsville, PA to Walter and Verna Shierant. He grew up in Mt. Carmel, PA and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1947. He served two years with the U.S. Navy before settling in Norwalk, CA where Fritz spent 30 years as a letter carrier with the USPS. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Nance (Stacey), Joan (Kenneth), Theresa (Wyatt) and Donna; grandsons, Kevin, Rogue and Thor; brother, Walter (Sue); and sister, Irene. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence, his parents, Walter and Verna, brother, John and sisters, Veronica and Leona. A rosary with eulogies will be held January 27, 2010 and a memorial Mass will be held January 28, 2010 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Santa Fe Springs, CA.
