Retired US Air Force Boom Operator Tech Sgt
Herbert James Belton, Sr.
Retired San Bernardino Postal Employee. A former 30 years resident of Rialto, CA; Herbert James Belton, Sr. passed away on April 14, 2014 in Round Rock, Texas; born in Anderson, SC, on March 4, 1934. He served his country proudly during the Viet Nam Conflict where he flew over 100 combat missions as a Boom Operator. Using his talents to help others; he became a Shop Steward for the American Postal Workers Union, representing members of the Postal Service Clerk Craft. He was a devoted, loving husband and a father to all. Herb had a generous heart and open arms; he was willing to comfort and assist those in need.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a loving wife of 36 years, Mary Etta Belton of Hutto, TX; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 6 children; 12 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and close friends. Memorial service will be on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00pm at Moreno Valley Church of Christ; 12660 Indian Ave., Moreno Valley California 92552.
