Ivan Waldemar Berg

BERG-Ivan Waldemar Berg, Born on October 15, 1931 in Blair, Wisconsin and passed away on September 25, 2010 in Monrovia, California. He was preceded in death by his wife MaryJon Reedall Berg and is survived by daughter Lori (Chris) Barrera, son Brian (Suzanne) Berg; sister Naomi (Raiden) Peterson; brothers Roald (Marlene) & Erling (Helen) Berg, and two aunts Wilma and Charlotte Berg. Ivan enlisted in the Army in October 28, 1949 having served 3 1/2 yrs as Sgt First Class in the Korean War when he was Honorably Discharged on February 7, 1953. He was a resident of Monrovia for approximately 50 years and worked for the US Forest Service 25 years. Ivan was also a member of the VFW Post 2070 for 15 years, acting as Commander for 7 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 9th 10:00AM at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance Funeral Home, 600 E. Foothill, Monrovia, CA 91016.
