James Davis Obituary

September 26, 2010 James Davis, beloved husband to Vivian for more than 61 years, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2010. Born in Texas to Willie Pauline and Richard Dexter Davis, Jim was the fourth of nine children. He moved to California in 1942 and enlisted in the Army in 1943. Jim met Vivian while attending church services in 1948 and they married in 1949. After retirement from the military, Jim built and operated Anthony's Spaghetti House in Santa Ana, CA and obtained his realtors license. In 1980, Jim retired completely and enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and playing golf with his wife, son and many friends. Jim is survived by his wife Vivian, son James, daughter Deborah (Brad), granddaughters Heather (Chris) and Hilary (Lucas), great grandchildren Gage, Carter, Devin and Katelyn, brother Joseph and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jim was a wonderful man, a great husband and father. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. I know that he is now up in heaven finding someone to argue politics with and also getting a foursome together for either golf or a game of "Trains".
