WARE, James Ernest

James E. (Jim) Ware of Azusa, California, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Jim was born on December 19, 1923 in Texas, and was the son of Ernest and Esther Ware.
Jim joined the United States Marine Corps in 1942, and proudly served his country during World War II. Shortly before his discharge from the Marines, he married Virginia Beach in February 1945. They lived their entire married life and raised their family in the city of Azusa.
Jim was a carpenter and worked construction jobs for the early part of his working career. About 1960, Jim began working for Lucky Lager Brewing in Azusa, as a machinist. When the company became Miller Brewing Company and the plant moved to Irwindale, Jim remained with the company, finishing his career as a Maintenance Supervisor.
Jim always loved working with wood. He will be best remembered for the multitude of projects he completed for both family and friends.
His wife of nearly 50 years, Virginia Ware, and his brother William Darrel Ware preceded Jim in death. His sons, Robert (Bonnie) and Daniel (Natalie); four grandchildren, Anne, Teresa, Geoffrey and Brendon; and six great grandchildren survive Jim.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Azusa. Internment services will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Roland Heights. A celebration of Jim's life will be held following the internment services at the VFW Post 8070 in Azusa, California.
Memorial contributions in Jim's name may be made to the VFW Post 8070 in lieu of flowers.
Services are being handled by White's Funeral Home.
